The Who Cares Wins Awards 2008 reward and recognise the businesses who have embraced excellence and are ensuring the customer experience is something to remember.Salar Smokehouse won the 'Taste of the Hebrides' category for Flaky Smoked Salmon at a Gala dinner in the Dark Island hotel on Benbecula 26/3. The team at Salar received a glass trophy and recognition for their commitment to producing a consistently high quality product. The organisers went on to say, 'Salar Flaky Smoked Salmon, Isle of South Uist - is a true taste of the Hebrides'.
