Salar Flaky Smoked Salmon Hot Swiss Potato Salad

Recipe by Mrs Jean Saffell


Mix together:-

4 ounces grated gruyere cheese
2 ounces minced spring onions
1 ounce dill seeds or ½ ounce dried dill seeds [I used dried]
1 teaspoon salt
2 ounces chopped peanuts or mixed nuts [I use the latter]

Layer this with 2 pounds of cooked diced potatoes and a carton of sour cream.

Cook at gas 5 or 190 electric for 30 to 45 minutes.

The potatoes need to be waxy, not floury. I cook them in their skins and peel them when they have cooled sufficiently to handle.

Can be prepared in the morning to eat in the evening.
